Grenfell Tower

It rained that day in Latimer Road
A billion teardrops on the street
Pools of love where wept away
A rapid river song downbeat

Voices calling through the misty spray
Drenched worn out wishes on the wall
Unnecessary hopelessness
Sinking deep the heartbreak call

Together lingering with each others pain
Knowing how they were ignored
How officials with their mighty views
Discharged those warnings unexplored
