Poem Trail

No signpost says To Elsewhere
Another place worth passing through
A new path walked on age-old rocks
The unexpected poet’s view

Pulsing on a sudden slope
Struggle dripping from my brow
Searching for that forest phrase
Placing thoughts right here right now

Hearing echoes when somebody said
The wall’s too high to scale
I take the bends on inclinations steep
Pursuing verse on Poem Trail
