Clock The Time

The Town Crier late again
Had me wide awake too early
On checking my atomic clock
My sleep-lost eyes looked surly

When calling time we must insist
That leeway errs on caution
Too much freedom in the margins
May cause a time of day distortion

What time it is to be precise
Ensuring actions synchronised
A movement must in balance grow
When those aroused are galvanised

The week is done some battles won
At last it's here it's Saturday morning
A day that needs no introduction
Nor any kind of weekday warning
